The Vision
Two new construction contemporary homes situated at the corner of Langston Blvd and Cedarest Road, just one mile from the Mosaic District in Fairfax, Virginia.
Designed over two years, these homes emphasize natural light and intuitive user flow through each space. Spacious living, dining, and kitchen areas open to a rear patio, creating seamless indoor-outdoor living.
The primary suite on the second floor is stepped down to achieve higher ceiling heights, with a private balcony facing the sunset. A flex room adjacent to the primary bedroom serves as a bedroom, office, or nursery. A second balcony to the east captures the sunrise.
Finished basements feature entertainment space with a wet bar, media room, and a bedroom with walk-out garden access. Cast concrete foundations below grade ensure lasting structural integrity.
The Homes
Cedarest House I — 2913
6 Bedrooms • 4.5 Bathrooms • 4,160 sf total
3,160 sf above grade + 1,000 sf below grade. Vertically oriented Hardie-Board paired with rustic, horizontally oriented reclaimed wood siding. The dark Hardie Board pulls back to reveal the warmth of the reclaimed wood beneath.
Cedarest House II — 2911
5 Bedrooms + Study • 4.5 Bathrooms • 4,025 sf total
3,150 sf above grade + 875 sf below grade. A three-layer material strategy: dark stone at the base, pristine white stucco on the first story, and dark metal panels on the second story.
